EPSOM —Propane companies are working around the clock to ensure that customers have the propane they need to heat their homes and run appliances during this extreme and historic cold weather. Due to the overwhelming number of calls, some customers have experienced busy signals or messages that the phone line is out of service. Our members are all working hard to serve their customers and their phones lines may be overloaded. Many companies have websites where you can send a message online and we encourage customers to use this option and to please be patient as propane suppliers respond to an unusually high volume of calls.
What customers are feeling are the results of historically low temperatures. In the past two weeks more than 300 record low temperatures been recorded. In addition, we have seen: numerous records for the coldest high temperatures, the longest stretch of sub 20-degree high temperatures, and top 5 or top 10 longest periods below freezing.
The Propane Gas Association of New England is working diligently with our members and state government agencies to ensure deliveries of propane continue as quickly, easily and safely as possible.
To help expedite service for your own home or business, and to help all propane customers in the region, customers must ensure that a path is cleared from the road to their propane tanks and that all equipment vents are cleared. With temperatures this cold, make sure to have someone check your house if you leave for a few days. Please keep your driveway free of ice and cleared wide enough for a propane truck to deliver.
Propane users are being served by their suppliers through this rough period and will continue to be served. Our goal is to ensure that everyone stays warm and safe. If you cannot reach your supplier by phone, check their website or Facebook page to determine if there are other ways to contact them.

Its getting cold out there. For all our WILL CALL customers, please give us several days notice if you are going to be needing a delivery. We can’t commit to same day deliveries, as it throws off all our automatic deliveries that need to be made. Thank you and enjoy the holidays!
Sludging aspects of heating oil can cause filters, oil lines and nozzles to become restricted. Even if it’s running, it may not be working properly, which can cause wear and tear on the system and can even be unsafe. Also, when a system isn’t firing off properly, it is also often not operating efficiently, resulting in you spending more on heating oil.
Most experts recommend getting your heating system tuned up annually. The fall is the perfect time to make sure your system is tuned up and working to its maximum efficiency before the weather turns and its running regularly.
Prolong the life of your oil system, prevent mid winter breakdowns, and save money by burning fuel more efficiently. Call our office, and our technician will gear your system up for the winter ahead.
